Medford Arts Council Awards Funding To 53 Grant Recipients In 2023

Over $100,000 total in funds was awarded to grant recipients by the Medford Arts Council. See the grant recipients here.

MEDFORD, MA – The Medford Arts Council has awarded 53 projects – that allow Medford residents to engage with the community at large – with over $100,000 total in funds, officials announced in a news release.

Among the awarded projects is $5,000 in funding to the new Medford Community Arts Center led by the Arts Collaborative Medford, a $2,000 grant to help the city host the inaugural Medford Porchfest, and American Sign Language tours of the Royall House and Slave Quarters.

The Medford Arts Council was established in 1980 and is a city-appointed commission of volunteers dedicated to bringing high-quality cultural programming to the community. The funds distributed are an annual allocation from the Massachusetts Cultural Council through their local Cultural Council (LCC) program. The Council also receives funding from the City of Medford.
