Medford To Begin Administering New COVID-19 Booster Vaccine
The updated Pfizer boosters are available for ages 12 and up.
MEDFORD, MA — The Medford Health Department will begin administering the new COVID-19 booster vaccine on Wednesday, Sept. 28 from 3-7 p.m. at the Council on Aging.
The updated Pfizer boosters are available for ages 12 and up. They contain a formula that both boosts immunity against the original coronavirus strain and also protects against the newer Omicron variants that account for most of the current cases.
Residents eligible for an updated booster dose at least two months after their last COVID-19 vaccine or booster dose. Those who have had a recent infection should wait two months to have the booster.
