Medford Detective Who Threatened Driver to Face Disciplinary Hearing

A Medford Police officer who was caught on camera threatening to shoot a man in the head will soon be the subject of a disciplinary hearing, Boston.com reports.
31-year veteran Stephen LeBert was placed on administrative leave back in July after a dash cam video captured him threatening to “blow a hole” in head of the driver he had pulled over.

The disciplinary hearing will determine LeBert’s future with the Medford Police Department. He’ll either by suspended, discharged or removed permanently from the force.
The Internal Affairs Division at the department concluded their investigation into LeBert’s incident on Wednesday, according to the mayor’s office.

“I was fully shocked and saddened by the Detective’s statements and his demeanor directed toward the driver of the vehicle,” McGlynn said of LeBert back in July.
The incident was not the first time LeBert has had a run in with the public. Several complaints have been filed against LeBert over the years.
A definite date for Lebert’s hearing has not yet been set.
