Medford Drops Second Straight Game to Belmont
The Mustangs were beaten 31-28, losing in the final seconds of their game against the Marauders on Friday night.

The Medford Mustangs traveled to Belmont on Friday night looking to avenge last week’s blowout defeat, but they were narrowly edged by the Marauders, 31-28.
After falling 35-0 in their season opener against Revere, the Mustangs showed a tremendous improvement against Belmont, unfortunately they fell to 0-2 on the young season.
Medford battled tough for 39 minutes, clinging to a lead with under a minute left to play in the game. Belmont managed to convert on a touchdown strike through the air with just second left to earn the come-from-behind win.

Belmont’s senior running back proved to be the difference in the ballgame. Mekhai Johnson had his way with Medford, tallying 239 yards and a pair of rushing touchdowns.
The Mustangs will next be in action on Friday, Sept. 25, against Archbishop Williams of Braintree.
