Medford Man Among Weekend Checkpoint Arrests
State police conducted two checkpoints over the weekend, including Canton and Lowell.

Massachusetts State Police conducted two sobriety checkpoints over this past weekend and a Medford man was among the arrests, albiet not for alcohol-related charges.
Mark Chubbs, 54, faces charges of a marked lanes violation and operating with a suspended license after his arrest as part of a Lowell checkpoint Saturday.
According to state police, they conducted their checkpoint at Route 3A in Lowell and 16 people were arrested, 12 being charged with operating under the influence of liquor.

The other checkpoint was in Canton Friday night on Neponset Street. State police said they arrested six people for OUI alcohol and drugs with two criminal summons and issued 88 civil motor vehicle citations.
