Medford Overhauls Zoning Webpage

The city announced it has updated its MBTA zoning site to make it more accessible and digestable.

MEDFORD, MA — The city has released a fully redesigned website detailing the status of its MBTA zoning efforts.

The project was undertaken by the Communications Office and City Council, according to Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn. The site includes a summary and status for all three of Medford’s current zoning proposals, timelines for each, public participation opportunities, and visual components to assist comprehension. It will continue to be updated as new developments occur.

Neighborhood and Urban Residential Districts, the Salem Street Corridor District, and Green Score are the city's three ongoing zoning proposals. The Green Score proposal aims to provide developers flexibility for meeting environmental requirements and standards.
