Medford Police Extend 'No Shave November' After $6,200 Raised
It's a hairy situation at the Medford Police Department.
MEDFORD, MA — The Medford Police Department raised $6,200 during its "No Shave November" fundraiser, surpassing last year's total of $5,500.
Chief Jack Buckley has extended the fundraiser through the month of December to benefit Home Base, an organization working to support veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injuries and other deployment-related conditions.
The money raised will also go toward four scholarships given to Medford High School students.

"No Shave November" is run annually by the Medford Police Patrolmen's Association.
