Medford Property Taxes To Rise In Fiscal Year 2019

Here's how much more you'll be paying on average.

MEDFORD, MA – The city council this week approved lower tax rates for residential and commercial properties, but with property values on the rise, homeowners will be paying more in taxes in FY 2019.

Property taxes for a single-family home will increase by an average of $221.71, according to the Medford Transcript. Condo taxes will increase by an average of $224.80, two-family homes by an average of $350.09 and three-family homes by an average of $203.96.

The tax rate for residential properties was reduced to $9.60 from $10.24. The rate for commercial and industrial properties is down to $18.43 from $19.76, the Transcript reported.
