Brian Balluku received an Award of Excellence. In addition, he had opportunities to interact with other high-achieving students interested in medicine as well as mentoring opportunities from the scientists. The annual conference is organized by the National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists and featured talks from Dr. Jack Szostak, Dr. Mario Capecchi, Dr. Craig Venter, and Dean Stephen Ray Mitchell from Georgetown University's School of Medicine.

A Medford High School sophomore was recently honored at The Conference of Future Medical Leaders in June 2015 in Boston. Brian Balluku received an Award of Excellence. In addition, he had opportunities to interact with other high-achieving students interested in medicine as well as mentoring opportunities from the scientists.
