Medford Teen Missing at Maine Ski Area
Nicholas Joy was last seen at 12:40 p.m. Sunday at Sugarloaf ski resort.

UPDATE, 5:45 p.m.: The search for Nicholas Joy continued throughout the day Monday on Sugarloaf, with over 40 searchers and more expected to join tomorrow if needed, according to the Boston Herald.
The Herald reported officials have been unable to deploy aircraft in their search due to weather conditions.
ORIGINAL STORY: WBZ-TV is reporting a search is underway at Sugarloaf ski resort in Maine for Nicholas Joy, 17, of Medford, who was last seen at the mountain at 12:40 p.m. Sunday.

According to a statement from the Maine Warden Service, Joy was last seen by his father at that time on the Timberline chairlift, and the two had been skiing together all morning.
WBZ is reporting ski patrol and game wardens searched the area throughout the afternoon and into the early evening, continuing their search Monday morning.

Maine officials told WBZ the search is a "very difficult" one because of the size and terrain of the mountain as well as the weather.
WBZ reports that anyone with information about Nicholas Joy’s location should call the Maine Warden Service at 207-624-7076.
