Police K-9 "Marco" Gets Doggie Bullet-Proof Vest

Medford's police dog is now a little safer.

Marco, Medford's Police dog, is now a little safer in the line of duty thanks to some help from a local resident.

Andy Ross, a Medford resident and friend of Police K-9 Officer Harold MaGilvray, made an $850 donation to "Vest-A-Dog" to purchase a custom-made K-9 bullet-proof vest for Marco, according to a press release from Medford police Lt. Paul Covino.

Vest-A-Dog is a Massachusetts non-profit that aims to fit police dogs with bullet-proof vests.
