Three Charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon

Three people arrested Sunday afternoon in Medford face assault charges.

Shortly after receiving a report of armed robbery at 81 Playstead Road about 1 p.m. Sunday, police arrested Shaun Spencer, 25, of 155 Arlington St. and Arnetta Shepherd, 45, of 22 Allston St. Both were charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and attempt to commit a crime, according to the police log.

At 4:24 p.m. Sunday, police arrested John Ness, 46, of 77 Summer St. and charged him with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and witness intimidation.
