Gov. Deval Patrick signed a bill Tuesday that paves the way for up to three casinos and one slot parlor to open in Massachusetts.
Before Patrick signed off, the House voted 118-33 to approve the bill, and the Senate passed the bill with a 23-14 vote.
No local representatives voted to pass the bill. Representatives Sean Garballey and Carl Sciortino both voted no, and Paul Donato did not vote. State Senator Pat Jehlen also voted no.
