Deval Patrick signed a bill Tuesday that paves the way for <a href="http://www.boston.com/Boston/politicalintelligence/2011/11/patrick-signs-casino-bill-into-law/UR8XgKZ7ahsQP3yps8dKDL/index.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">up to three casinos and one slot parlor to open in Massachusetts</a>. Before Patrick signed off, the House voted 118-33 to approve the bill, and the Senate passed the bill with  a 23-14 vote. No local representatives voted to pass the bill. Representatives Sean Garballey and Carl Sciortino both voted no, and Paul Donato did not vote. State Senator Pat Jehlen also voted no.
