
Ponzy N. Salza died on Aug. 10 at the age of 91.
He grew up in Boston and graduated from East Boston High School, and moved to Medford in 1957. In World War II he served as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated Ponzy & Son Cleaning Co. in Medford, according to an obituary on the Breslin Funeral Home website.
He is survived by his wife, Martha A. (Mulvey) Salza; his children Glenn G. Salza and his wife Joanne of East Boston and Linda S. Olson of Medford; and his grandchildren Matthew R. Olson of Wilmington and Marianne L. Salza of East Boston. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held at the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St. in Malden on Wednesday, Aug. 14 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Hallmark Health Hospice, 178 Savin St., Malden, MA 02148.
