Find Common Ground Tomorrow: Head to Royall Park at 10 a.m. tomorrow to take a historical tour of the George Street area. Land and homes in the area can be traced back to slave-owner Isaac Royall, abolitionist George Luther Stearns and a trio of shipbuilding entrepreneurs.

Jeffrey Smith, 46, pleaded guilty in April to 13 charges alleging he sent a total of 31 letters to predominantly African-American churches. He could face up to 10 years in federal prison for 11 of the counts and 5 years for the other two. But his attorney is seeking he be admitted to a state hospital instead.

: Head to the South Border Road entrance of Middlesex Fells at 10 a.m. Saturday for a hike to Pine Hill and Wright's Tower guided by Dan Sumorok.

A Revere man has been arrested in connection with the June robbery of Brookline Bank in Malden. The arrest came after a tense five-hour standoff with federal agents, state and local police.
