The Region: Arrest in Malden Teen Shooting, Assembly Square Restaurants Announced
A look at some of the top recent headlines from just beyond Medford.

 The 17-year-old arrested in connection with Monday's shooting of another 17-year-old near Warren Street was arraigned in Malden District Court on Tuesday morning, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office. Tyrell Berberena, Jr., 17 of Malden, was arraigned on charges of armed assault with intent to murder, aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and carrying a loaded firearm without a license, according to a press release from the DA's Office. The 17-year-old victim sustained "serious injuries" in the shooting according to the DA's Office. Malden Patch previously reported he was taken to Mass. Legal C, a Legal Seafood restaurant, Papagayo Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar, which offers over 180 brands of tequila, and Burger Drive, "a casual burger joint," are the first three restaurants announced for , according to an announcement from , Assembly Row's developers. Assembly Row is the large development under construction in Somerville's Assembly Square. When complete, it will include residential, retail, restaurant and office space. Previously, Assembly Row announced it was bringing an into the development, and it also plans to bring to the area. -Chris Orchard
It wasn't so long ago that a developer proposed a 600-foot tower for Boston's waterfront. The city shot that proposal down, but the Boston Redevelopment Authority is beginning a process to give that developer—and all other property owners along the waterfront—more precise guidance on what the city will allow. The authority began seeking bids last week to find a consultant who will develop a plan for the 39-acres of waterfront along the Greenway between Christopher Columbus Park and the Northern Avenue Bridge. -Matt M. : Davis Squared, a “fun and funky” gift shop in, well, Somerville’s Davis Square, announced Thursday afternoon that it’s opening a store in Arlington Center at the end of the month. The boutique is moving into the recently vacated Main Event Tuxedo spot at 487 Massachusetts Ave. (which is to the left of Punjab). The new location will fittingly be called Arlington Centered or “aC” for short, according to the store’s press release. Davis Squared also goes by “d2.” -John Waller
