Officials Debate Soccer Coach Job [VIDEO]

The controversy over the decision not to bring back head soccer coach Mike Petrides came to a head Monday night, when Petrides spoke publicly for the first time since being let go.

Athletic Director Bob Maloney defended the coach and refuted some of the statements in a letter written by Headmaster Paul Krueger, explaining his decision not to bring Petrides back.

Krueger said he would stand by his decision. But Mayor Michael McGlynn implored him to reconsider and called for him to meet with Maloney and Superintendent Roy Belson to discuss the position.

The three met Tuesday and reconvened to talk further Wednesday morning.
