Week Ahead: First Pelosi, Now Katie Couric
Katie Couric is slated to visit Tufts Monday, and more Medford events.

Couric Visits Tufts: On the heels of a visit from House minority leader Nancy Pelosi, Tufts University will host newswoman Katie Couric Monday. Rumors are swirling that Couric plans to leave her post at the CBS Evening News to host a syndicated talk show. Her visit is scheduled for Monday, April 11 at 12 p.m.
: The city council is slated to debate the use of electronic devices during meetings, as well as the newly imposed parking enforcement in Medford Square at their meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Laptops For Every Kid?: The school committee will have a meeting of the whole on Wednesday, where a new technology initiative will be pitched to them. Among the requests are for laptops to be issued to all Medford High students.

Grace Church's environmental series continues on Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. with a presentation by Medford residents Alicia and Jonathan Hunt, who have cut their electricity and gas bills in half through a combination of behavioral changes and weatherizing their home.
Tufts' Wind Ensemble performs British band music by names such as Holst, Vaughan Williams, and Grainger, and more recent compositions by other British composers. It starts at 6:30 p.m. at Distler Performance Hall on Friday.
