Around The Region: Stabbing Follows Party at Malden Temple, Somerville PD Shuts Massage Parlor for 'Happy Endings'

An official from  in Malden said a party organizer lied to temple members about who he was and the type of party he intended to throw Saturday night. A Malden teenager was stabbed outside the temple at the conclusion of the party. -Roberto Scalese

The city closed a massage parlor on Highland Avenue last week after an undercover police officer nearly received a "happy ending" during an investigation into alleged prostitution at the site, according to an incident report from the Somerville Police Department. The massage parlor, Lai Lai Spa, is located at 149A Highland Ave, near the corner of Central Street. In fact, the first result in a Google search for "Lai Lai Spa Somerville" is for a website called "Rub Maps," which has the tagline, "Find your happy ending!" -Chris Orchard

A Schouler Court resident reported Friday afternoon that three motorcycles had been stolen from a shared garage on his property, according to Arlington Police. The man said he noticed the motorcycles missing shortly before 1:05 p.m. That’s when he called police. Two of the motorcycles were his own, a black 2005 Honda CBR with Massachusetts plates (the motorcycle had “WEST” written in white on both sides of the front and rear fender) and a green 1999 Kawasaki dirt bike with no plates. The third, a blue/white 2008 Suzuki GSXR600, belonged to his roommate’s brother, he told police. -John Waller

Two Winchester residents will be asking Town Meeting in April to support a resolution which would overturn a Supreme Court ruling made in January 2010.  Susan Verdicchio and Vern Blodgett submitted Article 8 for this spring’s annual Town Meeting, which asks members to approve a resolution that calls “Congress to pass and send to the states a constitutional amendment to overturn the Supreme Court’s decision in Citizens’ United v. Federal Elections Commission and restore democracy to the people.” -Dan Marra

: A bus on Tuesday afternoon hit the opening door of a vehicle carrying U.S. Marshals, who were serving a warrant at 306 Main St. in Melrose on a man wanted for allegedly violating his probation, Melrose Police Chief Mike Lyle said. -Daniel DeMaina
