Medford Woman Pleads Guilty to Husband's Stabbing Death
Shawntina Burston, 40, pleaded guilty to a single count of voluntary manslaughter in the stabbing death of her husband, Troy Burston, in January 2011. The Middlesex County District Attorney's office said she was sentenced to 10 to 12 years in prison after she entered her guilty plea in Middlesex Superior Court in Woburn.
Two Men Charged After Medford Home Invasion
Edward Anthony Paulino, 19, and Derrick Steven Paul, 22, were both arrested in Somerville after an alleged armed home invasion in Medford on Monday. According to police, the men entered a home on Maverick Street with guns and threatened five adults in the home. No one was injured and nothing was taken. The pair are also alleged to have committed a similar crime in Somerville.

Medford Goes Hollywood: Movie Shoot on Doonan Street
Lights, camera...Medford? Scences for a new David O. Russell-directed movie about a '70s political scandal were filmed on Doonan Street this week, creating excitement in the north part of the city. The cast for the movie is overflowing with stars: Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Renner and Louis CK among them.
