McAndrew Endorsed by MWPC In November Election

The Massachusetts Women's Political Caucus (MWPC) has endorsed Melrose School Committee Chair Jen McAndrew in her re-election effort.

The Massachusetts Women's Political Caucus (MWPC) has endorsed Melrose School Committee Chair Jen McAndrew in her November re-election effort. The MWPC is a nonpartisan organization committed to increasing the number of women elected to public office and appointed to public policy positions.

“MWPC is proud to endorse Jen McAndrew for Melrose School Committee. We need bold leaders like Jen who not only embody their community’s core values, but who recognize that transforming the face of our government is critical," said Samantha Kelly, Chair of the MWPC PAC Board of Directors. "We need more women in office because representation matters. Leading by example matters. We are confident that Jen is a strong leader who will act with care, urgency, and competence as a member of Melrose’s School Committee. A vote for Jen McAndrew is a vote for Melrose’s brighter future.”

“I’m honored to receive this endorsement from an organization with a long-standing commitment to supporting women in political and civic life,” said McAndrew. “It is my privilege to represent Melrose. As we continue to move through and recover from the COVID 19 pandemic, I pledge to continue to work collaboratively to support all students and to advocate for what our schools and community need to thrive. I ask for your vote this fall.”

The Melrose election is scheduled for November 2, 2021 at the Middle School Gymnasium Complex from 7:00 am-8:00 pm. Select early voting hours are also being offered from October 23-27 in the Council Chamber of City Hall. Details at: https://www.cityofmelrose.org/elections.
