The Melrose Chamber of Commerce seeks a qualified candidate for the position of Executive Director.

The Executive Director is responsible for the programs, projects and services provided by the Melrose Chamber of Commerce to its members. Reporting to a volunteer governing Board of Directors, the Executive Director proposes, plans and implements all initiatives in support of its membership and the business community at large. Candidates must have the ability to manage budgets and understand financial statements.

This is a part-time position and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Create programs and offer services designed to build membership while maintaining current levels.
• Organize and promote networking, multi-chamber and signature community events including the Summer Stroll, Victorian Fair and Home for the Holidays.
• Write e-newsletters, event invitations and press releases. Use social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and the Chamber website to promote events/programs.
• Develop and market advertising/sponsorship opportunities to membership.
• Manage the Shop Locally gift certificate program.
• Supervise the Assistant to the Director.

The salary range being offered is $40,000 - $45,000. Hours are variable and flexible.
