The undefeated, Super Bowl bound Melrose Red Raiders and the Wakefield Warriors will renew their rivalry Thursday morning in a Thanksgiving Day clash at Fred Green Field. The two rivals have squared off every year on Thanksgiving dating back to 1960.
Before Melrose faces off with Dartmouth in the Division 3 Super Bowl on Dec. 5, they will have to deal with the Warriors. The Warriors will be hungry for revenge, considering they lost to Melrose last year and then again in a playoff game on Oct. 30.

The Red Raiders will look to improve to 12-0 by relying on their dynamic rushing attack and stout defensive play. Running backs Jay Tyler, Mike Pedrini and quarterback Julian Nyland, are all a threat to break big gains on the ground.
The trio combined for over 250 rushing yards and three touchdowns in last week’s Division 3 North championship victory over Danvers.
