Melrose PD Hosts Comedy Night to Benefit Community Programs

The annual event benefits programs like the Police Department's Rape Aggression Defense Program and the Melrose HS Scholarship Fund.

MELROSE – Chief Michael L. Lyle is pleased to announce that tickets for the Melrose Police Department's comedy night are now on sale.

The annual event benefits community programs like the Police Department's Rape Aggression Defense Program and the Melrose High School Scholarship Fund.

"As in years past, this night is certainly going to be filled with many laughs from local talent," Chief Lyle said. "We encourage the community to come out for some fun and to support their city programs."

The night will be headlined by veteran Boston comedian Lenny Clarke with performances by local acts.

WHERE:

Prince Pizzeria, Route 1 Saugus

WHEN:

Saturday, June 4

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Pizza will be served at 7 p.m. and the show will begin at 8 p.m.

HOW:

Individual tickets are $25 at the door or $250 for a table of 10.

Residents can purchase tickets prior to the event at Edward Jones, 502 Main St. and Miter Biter, 479 Main St.

Raffle prizes from Melrose merchants will also be available at the event.
