Melrose Unveils Historical Art Piece At City Hall
The mural is meant to capture the 175-year history of the city.

MELROSE, MA — City leaders and local artists came together this week to officially unveil a new community at display in the Council Chamber at City Hall on 562 Main St.
The mural, titled “Our Time In Melrose” depicts the old city hall clock tower design with the works title articulated around it. The work was created earlier this year by artists from the Melrose-based Follow Your Art Community Studios during the city’s 175th anniversary in May. Attendees were asked to share what their tenures in Melrose meant to them, and the quotes were literally used as a backdrop for the piece.
Mayor Jen Grigoraitis, City Council President Leila Migliorelli, and Follow Your Art Executive Director Kris Rodolico, and other City Councilors led the reveal on Thursday.
