MELROSE, MA — The Victorian Fair has been canceled due to the uncertainty brought on by the coronavirus, according to an email the Chamber of Commerce sent to its members.

The Victorian Fair was scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 13. The Chamber remains hopeful the 40th Victorian Fair can take place next September.

"The Melrose Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Victorian Fair," Executive Director Lauren Grymek said in the email. "After much consideration of the uncertainty around COVID-19 and our need to adhere to the Chamber’s responsibilities to comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations, as they may evolve from time to time, the Board concluded that our traditional event could not be celebrated as planned on Sunday, September 13, 2020."
