Project: Pop Up Brings 9 Businesses To Melrose For Holiday Season
Project: Pop Up has brought small businesses exposure in 20 different Massachusetts communities.
MELROSE, MA — The city has brought 9 outdoor shops to the downtown area through a partnership with UpNext.
Project: Pop Up is in its third week of occupation on the Melrose Family YMCA Green on Main Street. Each week, different businesses will be in the spotlight throughout the holiday season.
Project: Pop Up has appeared in 20 Massachusetts communities featuring a total of 70 different brands since it was founded in 2021. Its goal is to give participating businesses the chance to grow their companies.
Wella Woods, a hand-made candle and body care company, is one of two featured businesses through Sunday, Nov. 24. The other is Safo Hair, a plant-based haircare product business focused on scalp health.

Week 4, beginning on Monday , Nov. 25, is headlined by clothing boutique store Grace + Bo. It will be followed by portrait artist Jill Paz and her illustrations and Meesh Pottery in week 5. Read My Lips Boston is the sole business the following week. The bookstore is geared toward people with underrepresented identities. Housse Studio home decor will finish up the event for its final week from Dec. 16 through Dec. 22.
The pop-up shops are open Thursday through Sunday each week, with the possibility of additional hours.
