MELROSE, MA — Superintendent Cyndy Taymore has said she never expected to end her long public education career during a pandemic. But in two weeks, she'll be doing just that.

Taymore is retiring at the end of the month, giving way to Julie Kukenberger. Because of the coronavirus, there won't be a normal opportunity for everyone Taymore touched in her career to celebrate her retirement. So people are getting creative.

On Wednesday, June 17, at 12:30 p.m., Melrose families and the school district staff and community are invited to drive by the high school/middle school/central administration complex.
