The biennial Water Flushing Program will begin on Tuesday, September 8, and run through the end of October.Melrose holds the flushing program to clean out any sediment that may collect in water mains and to examine any areas which might experiencing poor water pressure.Over the course of the next two weeks, every stretch of water main in the city will be flushed by closing off certain valves in the city's water service system and opening hydrants in that area in a programmed manner.Residents can check the <a href="http://www.cityofmelrose.org/departments/public-works-department/water-main-flushing-program/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Water Main Flushing Program</a> webpage for complete details.
