Why I'm Supporting Brodeur As Mayor: McNaught

Dear Ward 2 constituents,

My name is Jeff McNaught and I live in Ward 2 on Clifford Street. In fact, I am slated to be your next Ward 2 City Councilor, as I am running unopposed for the seat in the upcoming election. It will be my first term as a city councilor. As of the new year, there will be many new faces on the City Council, and we’re going to be led by a new mayor for the first time in almost two decades. This situation makes the choice for our next mayor that much more important.

I am supporting Paul Brodeur as the next Mayor of Melrose – and I’m asking you to do the same. Let me tell you why. In Paul, I see someone that matches the passion and commitment of the residents of Melrose. We are deeply invested in our great city and want to contribute all that we can to continue our shared success and ensure we continue to thrive at the highest possible level.

Paul has provided outstanding leadership and support for all of Melrose’s citizens – our elderly, students, business owners, and all that proudly call Melrose their home. He’s been fighting for us for years at the state and local levels. Only Paul has the experience and track record to lead Melrose forward. Paul is proven.

Whether it’s business, sports, education, or public office, saying what you want to do is the easy part, but putting ideas into action is the real challenge. If you’ve spoken with Paul or taken some time to look at his website or literature, you certainly know that he has a detailed plan for the issues that our city is facing, and fresh ideas for the future. The amount of thought and time that has gone into each and every one is evident. His plan is not just high-level ideas or suggestions.

Experience, knowledge, a clearly shared vision for the future, and a highly thorough, specific, and detailed plan – that’s what it takes to govern. Combine that with an authentic passion to serve the people and the City, and you have a winning formula for leadership. That is the leadership I see from Paul Brodeur and that is why I am proudly endorsing Paul Brodeur as our next Mayor of Melrose.
