A new Chinese restaurant for downtown? And a contract is awarded for a new police station roof.

1. Another entrepreneur is eyeing the restaurant space on Main Street downtown that has had little luck in longevity. Ningfeng Guan, a Millis resident, has applied for a license to open Beijing Dumpling House at 163 Main St. The same location was previously Gala's, then Cousin's Pizza Cafe and Lunch, then Brasileissimo USA.
2. The Milford selectmen have approved a $294,000 contract with Meadow's Construction of Bridgewater, for replacement of the Milford Police Department roof, which is in two sections. Seven companies submitted bids.

3. Parking on Prentice Avenue will change from both sides, to just the west side, with several permit parking spaces for residents identified by Police Chief Thomas O'Loughlin and Town Engineer Vonnie Reis.Â
4. A request for qualifications for companies that could design a renovation of Milford Youth Center will be published on June 12, with a deadline for submissions of July 8.
