5 Things You Need to Know Today: June 13
Miniature dioramas are on display at Milford Town Library. And a site raising funds for a Milford father undergoing cancer treatment has reached an important milestone.

Our weekday morning column, 5 Things You Need to Know, provides you with information that can help you plan your day and give you some fodder for water cooler conversations.
1. A tiny kitchen and other dioramas are on display at Milford Town Library this month. The collection will be on display in the Children’s Room Display case. They were created by Alie Mich, of Milford, and constructed when she lived in Belgium. According to a post on the Milford Town Library website, she created many of the items herself, including the fruits and vegetables which were made from a bread dough mixture.
2. The friends of Scott Ellmore, a Milford father battling cancer, have received word that his gofundme site has been accepted by the site for its search engine. And they also recently surpassed an initial fundraising goal, to cover one week of medication. Ellmore, a Milford native, is undergoing cancer treatment that is not fully covered by insurance and requires weekly trips to New York. For more information, visit the site.
