5 Things You Need to Know Today: June 7
Milford's High School graduation will be replayed by Milford TV on Saturday, for those who missed the live ceremony.
Our weekday morning column, 5 Things You Need to Know, provides you with information that can help you plan your day and give you some fodder for water cooler conversations.
1. The lack of a fiberoptic cable to the Milford High School football field prevented Milford TV from broadcasting the graduation ceremony live on Sunday. Several people at home were disappointed, Milford School Committee members said Thursday. According to its schedule, the TV channel next will air the footage on Saturday.
2. Notifications to parents through the reverse 911 system should be used only for truly important notices, not reminders that school fundraisers are taking place, said School Committee member Donald Quattrochio Thursday. He was commenting on a recent alert sent out by the school system.
