5 Things You Need to Know Today: May 15
Milford residents will gather late this afternoon to remember the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.

Our weekday morning column, 5 Things You Need to Know, provides you with information that can help you plan your day and give you some fodder for water cooler conversations.
1. Milford Memorializes Marathon, a large, public walk to honor the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing, will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday on the Milford Upper Charles Trail. The event will end with a lighting of four candles to remember the victims. Collections of checks and money orders (No cash) will be accepted for the One Fund. The organizers ask people to meet at the Fino Field entrance to the trail. More than 200 people are expected, according to the Facebook event site.
2. which normally holds a Zumba class at that time, is cancelling its class Wednesday and asks its dancers to attend the event instead.

3. If you attend the memorial event in Milford and later eat at Pajemajo's Cafe, in Holliston, the restaurant will donate a perentage of your meal ticket to the One Fund. Volunteers at the event also will be selling Boston Strong yellow ribbons, for $1 each, with all proceeds going to the One Fund.
4. The Massachusetts Gaming Commission is now holding its meetings every other Thursday. The agenda this week includes discussion about the application process and timeline for commercial applications for the Southeastern Massachusetts region. Commission chairman Stephen Crosby explains the rationale for opening this region to commercial bids, as opposed to exclusively working with the Wampanoag Mashpee, in a blog.

5. a consignment and resale clothing shop in downtown Milford, takes good quality clothing as consignment, but also accepts donations. The most in-demand items now, for customers, are infant clothing for boys, and men's jeans in waist sizes of 30" to 38" with a leg length of 30".
