5 Things You Need to Know Today: May 23

Milford Police will continue to detour traffic Thursday around rail work being conducted on Depot Street.

1. The Memorial Day weekend is almost here. Make sure you make plans on Monday to attend the Milford Memorial Day Parade, an annual tradition. The parade will begin at 10 a.m.

3. The weather will be rainy and wet through the week, with a 90 percent chance of rain tonight and Friday, according to the National Weather Service. On Memorial Day, however, the forecast calls for sunny skies.

4. Milford Police began detouring traffic on Wednesday around the rail work being conducted on Depot Street, near Royal Buddha Restaurant. The work is expected to continue today, until at least 5 p.m.
