5 Things You Need to Know Today: May 6

The Hoboken Club will appear Monday night before Milford Selectmen to explain an incident that involved nudity at the private club.

1. The Hoboken Club officers are expected to attend a hearing Monday at the Milford Board of Selectmen, following a report from the Milford Police Chief that describes an incident of nude women dancing at the club. The hearing begins at 7 p.m. and will consider what actions, if any, should be taken concerning the club's license.

2. Shoefsky & Froelich, attorneys who represent the town in discussions with the developer of a casino proposal, plan to attend the Milford Selectmen's meeting Monday to provide an update about steps taken by the develper in recent weeks.

3. The Friends of the Milford Upper Charles Trail is seeking volunteers to help with the annual trail census. . The organization needs about 50 volunteers to assist at various locations and time slots. Volunteers will be asked to commit to a 1-2 hour time period.

4. The Milford Lions are searching for sponsors and golfers for the annual Golf Tournament, one of the organizations largest fundraisers.

5. Yum Yum Froyo is now open for business. This is Milford's first shop specializing in frozen yogurt.
