Our weekday morning column, 5 Things You Need to Know, provides you with information that can help you plan your day and give you some fodder for water cooler conversations.

1. Louisa Lake is freshly stocked with trout. The Milford Conservation Commission filled it up with 250 trout on May 3.

2. Friends of the Milford Upper Charles Trail will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The agenda includes discussion of trail safety, and of horseback riding.

3. Milford will advertise this month for a director of the an administrator's position that will be appointed this summer. Resumes and letters of intent will be accepted through June 21.

4. A celebration of Our Lady of Fatima, the Patroness of Portugal, will be held at 7 p.m., Sunday, May 12. A traditional procession of her statue will take place on the streets around St. Mary of the Assumption Church.

5. The Greenleaf Garden Club will hold a plant sale from 8 a.m. to noon May 18 at Louisa Lake. Proceeds will benefit its scholarship fund for Milford High School graduates.
