5 Things You Need to Know Today: May 8
A&S Detailing on West Street has been sold to another Milford business owner. And Milford Police will practice firearms shooting off Cedar Street on Thursday.

1. Milford Police will take part in outdoor firearms training all day Thursday near the Milford Upper Charles Trail and Walden Woods area off Cedar Street. The training will take place from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
2. Longtime Milford Town Engineer, Mike Santora, will retire on Friday after 28 years. His successor, Vonnie Reis, a civil and environmental engineer in private practice for 25 years, was introduced Monday at the Milford Selectmen's meeting.

3. The Milford Finance Committee meets Wednesday at 7 p.m.
4. A change in ownership has been approved for A&S Detailing and Auto Sales on West Street. The business will now operate as Good Year Getty, but the use will not change. It is owned by Riad Geara, who also owns the BP on Prospect Street.
