Milford Police Explorers Compete in Training Institute

The Milford Police Department's Exploring Law Enforcement Post 29 competed in the NH Law Enforcement Explorer Competition, held at the 195th Regional Training Institute Recruit Training Company/RSP NHNGTS Command in Center Strafford, NH.  

The Milford based post took first place overall.

The competition is designed to be demanding on the physical and mental capabilities of each Explorer. Events are designed to test the strengths and limitations of a person’s intelligence, personality, demeanor and physical abilities, as well as dedication and conviction to the Explorer Program.

Explorers are given the opportunity to test their skills in the real life situations including Felony Stops, DUI Stops, Vehicle Searches, Building Searches and a Domestic Violence situation, just to name a few. The competition tests the Explorers' physical abilities and teamwork through an obstacle course.

The Exploring Law Enforcement Program is an educational program designed to give young people between the ages of 14-21 an inside look into a career in law enforcement.
