Frost Advisory

2013 is the year of the winter that won't go away.

Just when it seemed safe to plant tomatoes, or fresh herbs, or little spring flowers, back comes a blast of winter.

The National Weather Service on Monday afternoon issued a Frost Advisory, to take effect from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. Tuesday.

The advisory suggests people take in plants that can be moved, or cover them, to protect the greenery from damaging frost.

Temperatures should warm up to the low-60s Tuesday, then hit the 70s for the rest of the week.
