ICYMI: Veterans Day Ceremony Planned For Milford
For the first time, the Massachusetts Medal of Liberty is presented to the families of eight Milford residents who were killed in action.

MILFORD, MA—Citizens for Milford is hosting a ceremony for all Milford veterans and residents on Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 10, beginning at approximately 11 a.m. in Draper Memorial Park.
The ceremony starts at the conclusion of the parade, once everyone has arrived at Draper Park.
For the first time, the Massachusetts Medal of Liberty will be presented to the families of eight Milford residents who were killed in action, said the release. These heroic members of the Milford community fought in World War II, Vietnam and Iraq. Dozens more Milford residents qualify for the Medal of Liberty.

The Missing Man Table Ceremony, a remembrance ritual that honors all military members who went missing in action, will also be performed. Music will be performed by the Milford High School Marching Band and a Milford High School quartet. Limited seating will be provided for those who need it.
In case of rain, the ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. at the Italian-American Veterans Club, located at 4 Hayward Field.
