Intent To Murder Charges, 3 To Hospital, After Milford Dispute

Three people landed in the hospital and two face charges after a domestic altercation in Milford.

MILFORD, MA—Two men are facing charges, including intent to murder, and three men landed in the hospital after a dispute in Milford on Friday, said Milford Police Chief Thomas O'Loughlin.

Around 8:47 p.m. on Nov. 10, Milford police got a 911 call that a domestic incident was taking place at 1 Pheasant Circle in Milford, where they also learned shots had been fired.

When police arrived, they found three injured people: Michael E Rooney, 67, Pheasant Circle, suffered a gunshot wound to the foot; Michael S. Rooney, 40, Depot Street, Milford, suffered a gunshot wound to a finger; and Keith Putnam, 27, Pheasant Circle, suffered an injury to the head.

All three were brought to UMass Medical Center; Michael S. Rooney and Putnam were treated and released, and Michael E. Rooney remains in the hospital.

Keith Putnam, 27, Pheasant Circle, Apt. #8:

• Assault And Battery With A Dangerous Weapon
• Assault With Intent To Murder
• Assault And Battery On A Person Over 60 Years Of Age With Serious Injury
• Carrying A Dangerous Weapon To Wit A Handgun
• Discharge Of A Firearm Within 500 Feet Of A Dwelling Of Another

Keith Putnam is being held at the Milford Police Headquarters on $50,000 cash bail and Michael S. Rooney is being held on $25,000 cash bail pending their arraignment in the Milford District Court on Monday, Nov. 13.
