Local Radio Show's First-Ever Holiday Toy Drive Overflows With Donations

Toys were distributed to four organizations, including The Milford Youth Center and Santa's Porch.

MILFORD, MA — A local radio station announced its holiday toy drive was a major success.

Raydio's first annual Holiday Toy Drive, which took place the weekend after Thanksgiving, from Nov. 28 through Nov. 30 at the DoubleTree in Milford, was an overwhelming success.

Community members helped to fill a Vendetti School Bus full of toys, which were distributed to four local organizations, including The Milford Youth Center, Santa’s Porch, The Santa Foundation and Toys for Kids and Teens.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better first year,” said Ray Auger, Raydio's founder and operator. “Launching something new is always a leap of faith, but our community showed up in a huge way. Seeing each organization drive off with a truck loaded with toys was a powerful reminder of what this area is all about—heart, kindness, and looking out for one another.”
