Wanted: Milford Thief With Taste For Expensive Fishing Gear

The stolen customized deep sea fishing poles are valued at about $4,000 each, Milford police said.

MILFORD, MA — Milford police are hoping to reel in a masked thief with a taste for high-end fishing gear.

A man wearing gloves and a mask broke into a vehicle parked along Meade Street around 4 a.m. Monday and took three customized deep sea fishing poles valued at about $12,000 total, police said.

"The fishing poles are customized and have the victim's name inscribed on them, 'Nuno,'" Milford police said in a news release. Two of the rods are purple, and one is dark blue.

Police also released images of the fishing poles on social media.
