Milford Farmers Market is Surveying Customers; This Volvo is Vintage
Here are five things to help inform your day.

1. The Milford Farmers Market will hold its fourth weekend market this coming Saturday. From the first market experience, volunteers have added produce farmers, and more local and regional vendors selling items including jams, jellies, Italian specialties, and fresh honey. Now the market wants to know who it should seek out next. Vote in its website poll.
2. All U.S. and state flags on state facilities will be lowered to half-staff on Wednesday as part of the National Day of Service and Remembrance, in observance of the people who lost their lives on Sept. 11, 2001.
3. A 1982 Volvo is vintage, compared to most of what's on the Milford roads. Milford resident Bob Zocchi, who owns the Volvo, attended Herb Chambers’ “Cars & Coffee” at the Herb Chambers BMW of Sudbury last week, for a meeting of class, vintage and specialty car enthusiasts. He is shown in the photo with his 31-year-old car.
4. The Greater Milford Community Chorus is signing up new members through Sept. 18, as part of its rehearsals for the upcoming Fall season. No auditions are needed, just your love of singing and ability to carry a tune. All singers are welcome, but especially men! Rehearsals run from 7:15 to 9:30 p.m. at Memorial Hall, 30 School St.
5. Milford is home to several discount retailers, including Big Lots, Dollar Store and soon, Dollar General. The market will open some time in the next week, and is hiring as well.
