Milford Field Of Flags Back For 3 Holidays In 2023
Citizens for Milford and the Milford Corps of the Salvation Army will soon flood a downtown park with flags.

MILFORD, MA — An annual tribute to veterans in Milford will return during three holidays over the upcoming months, helping to highlight a downtown war memorial park that was refurbished in recent years.
The annual Field of Flags display, a joint effort by Citizens for Milford and the Salvation Army, will return for Memorial Day, Independence Day and Veterans Day in 2023. Residents and businesses can sponsor flags to fly in Draper Memorial Park near the three patriotic holidays.
"Each flag includes a yellow ribbon with an attached card naming the person being honored, the honoree’s military branch and years of service, and the sponsor’s dedication. Sponsors can personalize each flag by providing a photo if desired," Citizens for Milford said in a news release.

The 2022 Field of Flags displays were the first to grace the refurbished Draper Memorial Park. Each display was nearly at-capacity, according to Citizens for Milford.
The flags measure 3 by 5 feet and fly from a 10-foot stake. Any resident or business interested in participating in this year's Field of Flags can sponsor flags for $40 a piece. Email citizensformilford@gmail.com for a sponsorship form, or print on out from the group's website.
