Milford Offers Free Shredding For Residents

Milford residents can bring items like bank statements, tax documents and any business papers to the September shredding event.

MILFORD, MA — Come get shredded in Milford next weekend.

The town will convene a free document-shredding event this month, allowing residents to safely dispose of sensitive items — everything from old tax statements to business-related items.

Shred-it, the company that will do the shredding for the town, recommends residents use the event to destroy common home documents like expired passports, bank and credit card statements and utility documents. Business records like customer lists, medical records and business plans can also be shredded — but the event is only for Milford residents, not local businesses.
