Milford Officer Injured, Woman Charged In Overnight Crash

A crash overnight in which a woman allegedly struck an officer's cruiser left the officer injured, and a woman arrested for OUI, fireworks.

MILFORD, MA—A Milford officer was injured and a Milford woman faces charges, including OUI, after an overnight crash on West and Congress streets.

Emily Cicconi, 22, Milford, has been charged with OUI, OUI drugs, failure to stop, operating a MV negligently to endanger, possession of a Class B drug, possession of open container of alcohol, possession of fireworks and storing fireworks improperly, after crashing into a Milford cruiser that injured Officer Steve Sousa.

He was reportedly treated for a concussion, cuts and bruises and expected to recover.

Police said Cicconi drove with a passenger in her car, and neither were injured in the crash, according to Fox 25.

WCVB-TV reports that Cicconi also violated probation driving restrictions related to another OUI charge, and that she blew double the legal limit in the breathalyzer test.
