Milford Police: Nothing Found After Report of Brush Fire Near Walden Woods

Tuesday, Oct. 14

At 11:50 p.m., a caller reported to Milford police that sparks from a bonfire on Otis Street were moving toward a pine tree. The Milford Fire Department responded to investigate.

At 7:45 a.m., Milford police received a report of a two-car accident in the area of Depot and Central streets involving a silver sedan and a black Ford.

At 11:35 a.m., police received a report that a box fell off a truck near the Mac Med Spa on East Main Street, with metal objects reportedly having been scattered all over the roadway. The Milford Highway Department was notified.

At 1:17 p.m., police received a report of potential credit card fraud after an individual’s credit card was used for purchases at Stop and Shop on East Main Street.

At 4:18 p.m., the Milford Fire Department responded to Walden Woods on Cedar Street after receiving a report of a brush fire near the quarries. Crews investigated the area and found nothing suspicious.

At 4:32 p.m., Loss Prevention at Kohl’s on Medway Road reported that a woman had left the store with a green pair of men’s sneakers before entering a blue Honda Civic and driving out of the parking lot. Millis police were contacted to speak with the individual.

At 6:12 p.m., a caller reported that a former employee had stolen about $2,000 in a cash deposit on Oct. 2. Police issued a summons to a 54-year-old Auburn resident for larceny of more than $250 by single scheme.

At 8:54 p.m., a caller reported that a vehicle had been driving all over the road and entering Milford on East Main Street before traveling toward Hopedale.
