Three school committee seats were up for election this year with incumbents Wilson, Meg Hornberger and Matthew Zacchilli all vying to keep their seats, and with Allegrezza aiming to knock one of them out. Hornberger and Zacchilli were both comfortably ahead in the official tally released Wednesday with 1,615 and 1,878 votes, respectively.

During a candidates' forum last month, Allegrezza spoke about a desire to cap the number of English language learners in Milford classrooms, saying they make "traditional students suffer" by slowing down lessons that might have to be translated in real time.

Turnout in Milford's 2024 election was near 16 percent, with 2,868 voters casting a ballot against 18,250 registered voters. Turnout was about 9 percent in the 2023 spring election.
